Early Project Alpha

• Project Citadel [10k followers]

  • Exclusive FPS of Ultra IO

  • Game in development for two years

  • FPS with unique aspects of progression

  • Free to play, with no pay to win elements

  • Early access in early 2024 with more details in the first few months of the year

  Trailer and graphics looks pretty great from the trailer. However, not too sure if we do need more FPS games in Web3. Ultra IO is a pretty cool idea for a gaming platform, but hasn’t been super popular yet. Will be interesting to see if this pushes them further by having their own exclusive game and working closely with the Project Citadel team.
  

• Lion Lemec [4608 followers]

  • Powered by Jambo technology

  • Jambo was part of a $30M raise led by Paradigm

  • Jambo is releasing their own phone with Web3 related games and applications

  • Lion Lemec appears to be their corresponding NFT collection

  Most projects backed by Paradigm typically have quite a lot of hype around it especially for the degens. The NFT collection seemed to have been teased since 2022, but never released. They were probably waiting for a good time to do so.

•  Dokkaebi [3616 followers]

  • Based on Korean folklore

  • Gaming focused community

  • Will be on Avax ecosystem

  • Will be part of Hyperspace Season 2 rewards

  A lot of excitement around AVAX recently with the coin pumping. Bloodloop did quite well with their mint and NFT. Obviously a ton of great games being built on AVAX as well, such as Shrapnel. Could be interesting to see more NFT collections popping up on AVAX and seeing how well they do.

• Dremica [1548 followers]

  • Open world MMORPG

  • Will be launching on Beam

  • Just released the trailer a few days ago

  
  The trailer looks really good and the graphics look great. You can sign up on their website with just an email. Beam has been getting quite a bit of attention lately, this may be a good one to lead the charge.

Gaming News

• Immutable Passport is now live

  Immutable Passport aims to make getting into Web3 games a lot more accessible within their ecosystem. Will be exciting to see what the stats are after more games are added

• Nifty Island Play to Airdrop

  This will be launching January 17 with their open beta and a play to airdrop campagin. Definitely one of the more popular UA strategies right now to reward people to play. Nifty Island have been working with a lot of different KOL and communities to get their IP in their game as well.

• ZTX Open Beta

  A lot of new features including the use of $ZTX in the new beta. Previously ZTX rewarded players for participating in their playtest. Now players can continue to play and use the token for crafting and other utilities.

• Epic Games Policy Update

  Gods Unchained was previously taken down with their Adult rating and potential to earn tokens. However, things have changed with a policy that is more favoured toward Web3 games as long as they follow the updated guidelines.

• Ronin continues to show that they are a strong community and continues to pick up great games. Apeiron is another great addition to expand their reach.

• MapleStory Universe raises $100M

• Farcana raises $10M

• Call of the VoYd raises $1.3M

• Raini Studios acquired by Kanpai Studios
