  • MonopolyGo meets Zillow

  • VC backed and has been building in stealth for 2 years

  I had a chance to talk with the team at GDC briefly and they showed me the app. MonopolyGo is a very successful genre that brings a lot of revenue if they can get this right. I know some people helping the team with marketing as well. Could be interesting, still very early.

  Not much information at this time, curious to hear how they will incorporate AI. Graphics look good, but doesn’t say much.

Gaming News

• Parallel raises $35M

  Huge raise by Parallel, having already raised quite a bit in 2021. They have been continuing to build out different initiatives like Colony on top of their TCG. They have also onboarded many Hearthstone players as ambassadors recently. They’re starting to get a lot of attention!

• Illuvium raises $11M

  Another raise by a pretty well known Web3 game. Illuvium still has quite a lot to prove in creating a core game loop. Right now, it does sit mostly as a pretty looking game. Hopefully we will start to see more of the gameplay and core game loop.

• Helika announces $50M accelerator program 

  Helika is a great tool to use for games. It is cool to see them launch an accelerator program. They recently announced their own raise and continue to push things further.

• GAM3S x Immutable
  Great partnership on the infrastructure side. Incorporation also includes the use of Immutable Passport, which should streamline things even more.
  

• Elixir raises $14M
  Another big raise announcement, some pretty big backers on this one.
  

• Bloodloop secures $4M funding
  Had a chance to play and meet some of the team members at GDC. They were a great sponsor and was great to work with at the WolvesDEN. A lot of people had a lot of fun playing the game. The game was also featured on day one of the GDC AVAX booth.

• King of Destiny snapshot for airdrop
  High anticipated airdrop, if you do have any of their NFTs you will want to make sure you’re all set up for this one.

• Vallarok announces AI companions

  Vallarok is building out some pretty cool stuff with a viking theme. Their RPG will include AI within the gameplay. I have seen some of the trailers and other assets for the game, looks amazing!
